Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.
We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.
We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.
Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.
Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.
Background Info:
Pumpkin Spice Latte was found as a stray with her brother Smokey Joe and brought to the city shelter. Their stunning looks and sweet personalities were an immediate "Yes" to come into our program!

Physical Description:
This dainty little gal has quite the sweet look about her! She has a more narrow head than her brothers but her endearing eyes sparkle bright. PSL has more the traditional fawn coat with two little white feet and a narrow to broad white chest strip. Her perky ears are sure to catch all the sweet things whispered to them. She has a beautiful petite build to her medium sized body.
Current Living Situation:
PSL is currently residing at our shelter where she is thriving at being such a young gal in a lonely environment. She uses her doggie door to do her business outside and keeps her kennel neat and tidy. PSL's highlight of her days is when she gets to be with the volunteers during her puppy playgroups!
Personality:
Pumpkin sure is sweet! She loves to be snuggled in your arms or chewing a toy next to you. Of course, she is still a puppy and thrives off training so she knows what is correct behavior and what isn't. This little angel girl is going to love her people hard as following the volunteers every move is her favorite thing to do!
Behavior with people:
PSL is sure to be someone's bestie! She is ready to watch your every move or cuddle hard under a blanket with a good book! Just look at her name! She's soooo ready to keep you warm this fall season! Pumpkin Spice Latte does want you to know that she is definitely not a basic kind of gal though! Oh no, PSL is a one of a kind love bug!

PSL is just a baby herself so older kids would be recommended

We do think she could live with a compatible male.
Behavior with other animals:
We have not seen her around other animals yet
Training:
She is a human pleaser!!! Training is going well with this little sponge. She is currently working on appropriate greetings with all four on the floor and sitting before she gets what she wants! Continued training will be very important to assure a well rounded best doggo!

Oh my goodness her heart! She loves hard! Snuggles right into your arms and melts your heart!
