Nutter Butter is a peanut butter sandwich cookie brand that was introduced in the US in 1969. The peanut-shaped cookies have a crunchy texture and are filled with creamy peanut butter.

Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.
We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.
We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.
Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.
Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.
Background Info:
Nutter Butter was found running loose with her Doberman brother by a local person on a cold rainy night. They took them into the city shelter where they discovered both were chipped and she was even spayed. The owner was contacted, but sadly they never came to claim them. We happily stepped up to take on this sweet girl.

Health Condition:
This sweet girl came in amazing condition! In fact she could maybe lose a couple pounds, but we aren't saying that to her ;)
Physical Description:
Nutter Butter is a stunning big red girl with long legs and a strong build. She has a beautiful square head with high set ears that do a cute little flip at their tips! This girls orangish red coat is why we named her Nutter Butter, She has so many great hues and highlights just like the cookie!
Current Living Situation:
Currently residing at our shelter she was so well behaved that we entrusted her in our special larger apartment kennel with her own daybed and bigger yard for exercise and bathroom breaks. This angel girl has quickly become a volunteer favorite as she is madly in love with all of them!
Personality:
Always so happy with no complaints about her abrupt change in life. Such a wonderful personality from a girl that lost everything. She is so well behaved at our shelter with the best lust for life!
Behavior with people:
She loves to greet you with a hug or a paw to shake! Then a kiss and another hug, now rub her belly and tell her how pretty she is lol! That basically explains how Nutter Butter envisions her perfect day!
Behavior with children:
Although we have no knowledge of her behavior with children we think she could possibly live with older children.
Behavior with other dogs:
Having previously lived with a male fur brother we believe she could live with a compatible male after proper slow introductions.
Behavior with other animals:
We do not have any knowledge of her behavior with cats
Training:
This girl isn't only beauty and joy! She already knew sit, down, shake and wait! We can only imagine how much more this eager to learn girl will amaze her future family!
Best Attribute:
We think someone else has already done the hard part of training her how to be so well behaved so you get to bask in the joy of having a well balanced dog to love!
