Jar Jar Binks
A clumsy, well-meaning Gungan outcast on Naboo, Jar Jar Binks struggled to prove his worth throughout his life. Putting his awkward past behind him, Jar Jar left the swamps of Naboo to enter the even murkier waters of Coruscant politics, becoming a representative for his people in the galactic capital.

Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.
We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.
We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.
Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.
Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.
Background Info:
Jar Jar was brought into the city shelter by a member of the public. Sadly, no one came to claim this sweet boy. After discovering he had a previously small break in his rear leg they reached out to us so he would get ample rest and care. Upon meeting this sweet boy we knew he needed us!

Health Condition:
Jar Jar came to us with a previous break in his rear tibia. Upon multiple x-rays and exams by orthopedics it was discovered that the break had already began to heal itself with a build up of cartilage that prevents any current surgeries from correcting it. He is said to be in no pain and doing well. We have started him on a daily Cosequin supplement to hopefully continue to help his bones strengthen and prevent any arthritis at bay. Otherwise, he is in great health and has gained lots of strength and muscle!
Physical Description:
Jar Jar is a strikingly debonair young lad with his endearing eyes and broad head with adorable wrinkles. He has extra long legs and a long body that makes him a rather larger version of a Pit Bull. His fawn coat with that handsome black muzzle is as soft as it looks too! A true hunk that is sure to fill out nicely once he ever stops growing upwards lol!
Current Living Situation:
This sweet boy is currently residing in our small shelter where he keeps his large apartment like kennel clean and uses his dog door to go outside and do his business. He is loving learning and quickly mastering playing fetch in the big play yard!
Personality:
Jar Jar is an absolute ham for love and attention! He has a goofiness and softness about him, a true casanova :) His size can make you forget that he is still a young teenager, but his young antics of rolling around and tripping over his still growing long legs quickly remind you he's still a silly pup!
Behavior with people:
Mr Binks seems to be quite the fun social boy with his humans! He loves to contort himself all over you and fall off the bed trying to lay across your lap lol! Cuddling and easy walks are two of his favs with the volunteers but he also loves when he gets to learn new tricks with them!
Behavior with children:
We have no knowledge of Jar Jar with kids, however with his giant size and still young age we believe only older teenagers would be best.
Behavior with other dogs:
We believe that Jar Jar could live with a compatible female with proper slow introductions.
Behavior with other animals:
We have no knowledge of him with cats or other animals. We will update if we do gain any insight to this.
Training:
Boyyyy does this hunk love to learn!! He is already soooo good at sit, down, wait and place. Working commands and learning leadership is the way to become his best buddy! Continuing Jar Jars obedience is strongly suggested as it not only gives you a well trained dog but it also helps exhaust that young energetic mind!
Best Attribute:
Those eyes! Oh, those eyes that just melt your heart! He loves hard and we are all here for it! If you are lucky enough to be Jar Jar's future forever home then you will never go without love!
