Before applying for a dog, please take a moment to review our Adoption Information & Procedures

Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.

We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.

We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.

Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.

Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.

Adoption Fee: $150
Breed: Pit Bull Mix
Sex: Male
Age: 1-3 yrs
Weight: 40-50 lbs

Health Condition:

Geoffroy is healthy and ready for adoption!

Physical Description:

Geoffroy is a stunning pint sized merle pittie, with a splash of pink on his snoot. His animated face will help you easily see what's on his mind. He is a strikingly handsome little guy that you can't help but just say "maybe he's born with it" AND boy oh boy is he!! Geoffroy's expressions will definitely leave you with a smile.

Current Living Situation:

Geoffroy is spending his days at the shelter, and he's proving to be a good resident! He is respectful of his space and not destructive in his kennel or common areas when out.

Personality:

Geoffroy is a young dog and has young dog energy. He would love for his family to have a matching active lifestyle. He is so incredibly eager to please and, more importantly, wants to learn! Being food motivated makes it easy to teach him new and exciting things. Geoffroy would vastly benefit from brain games, proactive stimulus like dog puzzles, snuffle mats, interactive toys, and a sniffari walk. Zoomies in a fenced yard are a must! You CANNOT go wrong giving Geoffroy a stuffy, especially one that squeaks! These types of activities would be ideal for a growing and learning boy. A car ride you say!? Just open that door and Geoffroy will jump right on in because he ready to hit the road! Geoffroy loves soaking up all the attention he can get especially belly rubs and butt scratches!

Behavior with people:

Geoffroy is friendly and outgoing when meeting and greeting people! He can get overly excited, but responds very well when reminded of his manners.

Behavior with children:

Unknown. We have not seen him around children, so it is unknown how he would do with them, however given his young age and high energy level, a home with young children may not be suitable.

Behavior with other dogs:

It is currently unknown what Geoffroy's behavior with other dogs is like. While we can not guarantee that he would get along with another dog in the home, he has not given us any reason to believe that he must be an only pet. We believe it's possible that he could live with a compatible female with diligent and gradual introduction(s).

Behavior with other animals:

Unknown

Training:

Geoffroy is presently working on learning basic commands used at the shelter: Sit, Look, Touch, Down, Shake and more. He is very expressive and it's easy to read his body language. He can get a little mouthy, as young pups can sometimes do, but can be redirected straightway. Geoffroy has marvelous leash manners and enjoys his walks.

Best Attribute:

Geoffroy is obviously breathtaking but wait... Did you notice his eyes? Not only do they contribute to his expressiveness, but they possess the same merle coat color trait! Truly making Geoffroy uniquely noteworthy, smart, cheeky, eager to learn, and become someone's best mate. Seriously, just look at him, how could you not just fall in love?

Even if you can’t adopt this sweetheart, you can still help by donating for their care.
