Background Info:

Willow (F.K.A Faye) originally came into our program at only 3-weeks-old with her mom and siblings known as the "Solar Sisters." She was adopted into a loving home where she has had tons of socialization and completed obedience training. Unfortunately, after several months Willow has proven that she cannot share her home with cats. She is lucky to have some training under her belt that will make her an amazing addition to her new family.

Adoption Fee: $ 200
Breed: Pit Bull
Sex: Female
Age: 6 mths
Weight: 45 lbs and growing
Health Condition:

Willow is healthy and ready for adoption.

Physical Description:

Gray and white coat with beautiful blue-gray eyes. She has the one of the biggest pittie smiles you’ve ever seen!

Current Living Situation:

Willow is being fostered in her current home until we can find her one without any cats. She is housebroken and crate trained. She sleeps in her crate at night and gets crated when home alone. There is a fenced yard at her foster home that she loves. Foster mom says Willow would thrive in an active household with a big yard to play in, full of toys!

Personality:

Willow is a very happy dog with a busy mind. She is outgoing, playful, and loves to keep busy! She loves outings and goes on daily car rides, park visits, or pet-friendly stores. This girl loves going to any drive-thru, as she typically receives some kind of treat – a Starbucks Puppuccino is her favorite. Overall, she is very sweet girl!

Behavior with people:

Outgoing and friendly with everyone. She wants to greet everyone she sees. Willow has not met a person she doesn’t like!

Behavior with children:

Willow is very enthusiastic about kids! She loves to stop and say “hi” everywhere she goes. Foster parents are working on proper greeting etiquette - like sitting down before she gets pet. Since she’s still a rambunctious puppy and has some growing up to do, we think a home with older kids would suit her well.

Behavior with other dogs:

Though she isn’t cat-friendly, this might win her some points. Willow gets along great with other dogs! She has been socialized with other dogs for most of her life. She has been in puppy play groups and has met many dogs on her daily outings. She has always done very well!

Behavior with other animals:

As mentioned, Willow has displayed a high prey drive with cats in the household. A home without feline foes or other small animals is her best bet.

Training:

Willow has completed Puppy Start Right School where she worked on and aced several commands including: Sit, Down, Look, and Stay, among others. She is treat-motivated and very responsive to commands.

She is a bit independent at times and therefore can have moments of stubbornness and defiance - she is going through her teenage years! Like most young pups, Willow can get bored if she doesn’t have something to do which can get her into a bit of trouble, so it’s best to keep her busy and provide her with adequate mental and physical activities. She loves any kind of enrichment! Willow is extremely smart and can solve nearly any puzzle you give her!

Best Attribute:

Willow is a great dog for a family that would like to take her everywhere (dogs permitted, of course). She is friendly, outgoing, and loves to meet new people and dogs. She has a huge smile and when she is feeling really playful, her ears flop all the way to the front nearly covering her eyes! Awww!
